Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the SeeMeEat apps, website, account, and subscription service.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using SeeMeEat, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your location.

2. What SeeMeEat provides

SeeMeEat supports meal-photo estimates, packaged-food barcode lookup, on-device nutrition-label OCR, manual food entry, local calendar journaling with editable meal categories, trends, calorie/macro/water/weight goals, an optional transparent goal planner for adults, hydration and weight histories, saved Meal Memory entries, and reminders. Features may evolve as we improve the product.

3. Estimates are not medical advice

Results and planner outputs are estimates and may be materially wrong. Photo analysis can miss ingredients or portions, label OCR can misread printed text, barcode nutrition is community-contributed and may be incomplete or outdated, and a calorie planner cannot account for every person's physiology or circumstances. Confirm food servings and values against the package. The automatic planner is for adults 18+ and should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating-disorder care, or in place of a medical nutrition plan; enter a qualified clinician's target manually instead. SeeMeEat is a general wellness tool, not a medical device, medical record, dietitian, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency service. Do not use it to make decisions about allergies, medication, insulin, eating-disorder treatment, or any condition that requires precise nutrition data. Seek qualified professional advice when appropriate.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your password and devices, and activity under your account. Notify support@seemeeat.app if you suspect unauthorized use. One suite account may be used to recognize eligible access across SeeMeEat and SeeMeCook, but meal photos and journal content are kept within SeeMeEat’s product boundary.

5. Subscriptions, allowance, and billing

  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google under the price and billing period shown before purchase.
  • A SeeMeEat Pro subscription currently includes up to 100 personal photo analyses per subscription month. A successful provider analysis uses one scan. Demo results, manual food entries, barcode lookups, on-device nutrition-label reads, hydration or weight entries, and relogging a saved Meal Memory entry do not use a photo scan.
  • The allowance resets at the start of the next subscription period and does not roll over. We may prevent analysis after the allowance is exhausted rather than charging overage fees.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple or Google account at least as required by that store. Deleting your SeeMeEat account does not cancel store billing.
  • Trials, refunds, cancellations, taxes, regional pricing, and renewal notices are governed by the applicable store and law. Restoring a valid purchase may require signing into the same suite and store accounts.
  • If we materially reduce paid ongoing value, we will provide notice or another remedy when required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You may use SeeMeEat for your personal, lawful purposes. You may not abuse quotas; automate bulk requests; probe or bypass security; reverse engineer except where law permits; upload unlawful, abusive, or privacy-invasive material; impersonate others; interfere with the service; resell access; or use results to make high-impact medical decisions about another person.

7. Your content

You retain rights in photos and information you submit. You give us limited permission to transmit, process, resize, and analyze submitted content solely to provide and secure the service you request. You confirm that you have the right to submit it. Do not submit a photo containing another person or sensitive surroundings unless you have permission.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep SeeMeEat reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, store outages, model providers, network conditions, abuse prevention, or safety issues may temporarily affect service. We may change or discontinue features, with notice or remedies when required for paid services.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

SeeMeEat’s software, branding, design, and service content are owned by SeeMeEat or its licensors and protected by law. These terms grant a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, while we continue to protect any personal information under the Privacy Policy.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, illegal use, or nonpayment, subject to applicable law. Terms that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—continue after termination.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeeMeEat is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not responsible for decisions made from nutrition estimates or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for claims relating to the paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for SeeMeEat during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not exclude rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. App-store terms

Apple and Google are not responsible for providing SeeMeEat or support. Your use is also subject to the applicable store’s terms. For Apple downloads, Apple’s standard end-user license agreement applies to the extent required unless a valid custom license supersedes it.

13. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the developer identified in the store listing is established, without overriding mandatory consumer protections in your home jurisdiction. We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will receive notice when required, and the effective date above will be updated.
